Since 1997, the Schuylkill YMCA has been working in our communities to strengthen the individual in spirit, mind, and body. From the hundreds of youth that pass through our programs each year to the seniors that utilize our services, we strive to recognize the worth of all persons and help them grow as responsible members of our families and communities.
By teaching our youth to develop confidence and self-respect, we know that they will also develop leadership skills and be able to use those skills responsibly.
By helping older adults develop a faith to live by, we know that they'll continue to live healthy, productive lives.
By always stressing principles and values in every program and service, we know the Schuylkill YMCA will be a strong, viable community partner.

The Schuylkill YMCA is currently a wall-less Y serving 2,500 youth throughout Schuylkill County. Within one year, plans are underway to open the doors of a main center in downtown Pottsville, and three satellite centers. We are a proud member of the Schuylkill United Way.
- Nearly 20,000 youth served since our inception in 1997.
- Our summer camp program is the largest of its kind in Schuylkill County with seven locations.
- We never discriminate against age, sex, or financial situation.
- Most of our kids come from low income families with help from our scholarship program.
- We provided $17,000 in financial aid to our summer campers last year alone.
- We are currently running 20 regular programs for kids and adults.
- Only eight percent of our budget goes toward administrative expenses.
- Every penny stays in Schuylkill County.
