YMCA YMCA

The Schuylkill YMCA cares about kids. Whether big or small or short or tall, from the East side or the West side, or any place in between, it is the kids of Schuylkill County that represent our future.
Because the Schuylkill YMCA cares so deeply about our children our number one goal is to make sure quality athletic, educational and inspirational programming is available to all children of Schuylkill County, regardless of their economic background. It has always been our policy not to deny services due to an inability of participants to pay for them. Instead, we ask individuals to pay what they can afford, based upon family income.
The Strong Kids campaign is really about shaping lives. Through programs conducted at various locations, serving numerous diverse communities, the YMCA is making a difference in the lives of hundreds of area kids and families.

If we are to meet the challenges confronting a new generation, we need you as a partner. We invite you to join us as, together, we can build Strong Kids. Here is what some of our members had to say.

*Thank you so much for the scholarship to the YMCA! Although we are currently going through some financial hardship. God will take care of us. He has already used you to say "I care". Thanks for the generosity!!!
*Thank you for giving my children the opportunity to spend the summer at camp.
Sharing, supporting and helping others is what the Schuylkill YMCA is all about. We truly believe that our mission improves the lives of people and the quality of life in communities across Schuylkill County. You can be apart of this great mission and make a crucial, rewarding difference in one's life, in your community and ultimately the world.

Please consider a gift to the YMCA's Annual Support Campaign. Our community's future depends on it. To make a donation contact Wayne Stump at the YMCA office at 622-7850 or ymcaceo@comcast.net.

The official registration and financial information of the Schuylkill YMCA may be obtained from the PA Department of State by calling toll-free, within PA, 1-800-732-0999. Registration does not imply endorsement.

Your contribution to the Schuylkill YMCA will help us ensure quality arts & humanities and environmental education activities to our summer camp and after school programs, while earning a tax credit. Funds for tax credits will be dispersed beginning July 1, 2007, so you need to send your application to the Department by June 30, 2007. These credits are limited so you must act soon.

If you have any questions regarding the Education Improvement programs at the YMCA please do not hesitate to contact me at my office. I can be reached at (570)622-7850 or e-mail at ymcaceo@comcast.net.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
